Ladies and gentlemen, I have the honor and pleasure to invite you to the confer- ence organized by the Lebanese Association for Philosophy of Law and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, with the collaboration of the Faculty of Law at the Lebanese Univer- sity, on the theme of “Next legislative elections in Lebanon,” which will be held on May 15, 2022. The world needs a solid, robust, and stable Lebanon to play the traditional role as a bridge between the Middle East and the rest of the world, with cultural diversity and reli- gious tolerance. To this end, the next legislative election will have historical significance because it will constitute the first step towards a more solid and robust Lebanon thanks to the renewal of its constitutional institutions following the tragic event of the Beirut port explosion in August 2020. This conference will be an excellent opportunity for Korea to deepen its knowledge of the regional situation and sta- bility, which are complex yet very important. This confer- ence will be a good and precious opportunity for Lebanon to move towards a better future through exchanging ideas and having a constructive and productive intellectual de- bate. The Korean Embassy actively participates in the confer- ence’s discussions by presenting the constitutional expe- rience of the Republic of Korea to discuss our institutional experience.
